Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This policy explains what data Plugbrew ("we", "us") collects through plugbrew.app and our browser extensions, and how we use it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run each extension.
Who we are
Plugbrew is an independent software studio based in France. For any privacy question, write to support@plugbrew.app.
Data we collect
- Extension usage. Our extensions work locally in your browser. Unless a specific extension's Chrome Web Store page states otherwise, we do not collect the content of the pages you visit, your browsing history or your personal files.
- Purchases and licenses. If you buy a premium feature, our payment provider Polar processes your payment, name, email and billing details. We receive your email, a customer ID and your subscription status so that we can activate your license. We never see your full card number.
- License checks. A premium extension may send your license key to our server to confirm that your subscription is active.
- Support emails. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address to respond to you.
- Website analytics. This website does not use advertising trackers or cookies for profiling.
How we use data
We use data only to provide and maintain the extensions, verify purchases, answer support requests, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run our business, such as Polar (payments, taxes, receipts) and our hosting provider. Each acts under its own privacy policy and, where applicable, a data processing agreement.
Chrome Web Store limited use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer user data to third parties except as needed to provide the extension's features, comply with the law, or as part of a merger or sale, and we never use it for personalized advertising or to determine creditworthiness.
Retention
We keep purchase and license records for as long as your subscription is active and for the period required by French accounting law. Support emails are deleted after they are no longer needed.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data and to object to its processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL). To exercise your rights, email support@plugbrew.app.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside the EEA. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
Our extensions are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify users through the extension or this website.
